News and Events

The U.S. and the E.U have issued sanctions, but not against Russia. They issued sanctions against individuals from Russia and Crimea. I was not aware that it was possible to sanction individuals instead of nations? Also, how does this "punish" Russia for their involvement in Crimea? I guess this is better than doing nothing, but I guess they are having a laugh at our expense in Russia today. The U.S. and E.U are so weak that all they can do is sanction individuals. So expect more trouble to come our way. Stocks rallied big time on the news of "light" sanctions and good factory production numbers. The rally was only about 1%, so markets are still down from last weeks selling. Nothing else is going on, so it was another day in the calm before the storm.

What do you think?
