Chromebook - Which One Should You Buy?

I own an Acer C720 Chromebook. I have had it now going on 5 months. It has performed flawlessly. In fact, I am completely surprised at how well it has worked considering that I had no real expectations. But, which Chromebook is the best one to buy now that there are several on the market from different manufacturers? Here is my advice:

Buy the cheapest one, from a manufacturer you like!

In the Chromebook world, buying a more expensive model will not improve your experience all that much. Chrome is not Windows or Mac OS. It does not run faster or better on a higher priced machine (by higher priced I mean a machine with faster components). So buying a machine with a faster chip will not make all that much of a difference. Even more memory will not make that much of a difference.

Why is that? It is because you will not be using a Chromebook for any high end applications. It is not designed for that. Chromebooks are designed for basic web based functions (email, web surfing, word processing etc.). So don't waste your cash on something it will not buy.

What do you think?
