News and Events

The last group of Ukrainian soldiers were overrun by Russian troops today. So Russia has finished securing Crimea. Now what? In Venezuela The Government devalued the Bolivar 88% in a bid to stem the sale of dollars on the black market. So the official rate has gone from about 6 Bolivars to over 10 in one day. Ouch, to bad the dollar is trading at 55 Bolivars on the black market. This will just make things worse on consumers and create even more turmoil for the people of Venezuela. Meanwhile, it looks as if we are starting to find pieces from the missing airliner from Malaysia in the Indian ocean 1500 miles out of Australia. That is way off the original course. If the airliner was hijacked, why fly it to the middle of no where? I am starting to think there was some kind of catastrophic failure that killed the crew and passengers, but the plane was able to fly on for several hours. Nothing major happened here in the U.S. So, it was another day in the calm before the storm.

What do you think?
