The Future - Humility

Another ability that Google looks for when hiring (after learning and leadership) is humility, which I think is the ability to not think of yourself as the most important person in the room. Laszlo Bock, the senior vice president of people operations for Google explains that humility is being able to "to step back and embrace the better ideas of others." He also states that it is not just humility in creating space for others to contribute, it’s also intellectual humility. Why? here it is in his own words because "Without humility, you are unable to learn.” In the future, to be successful we will need to be able to learn, to lead, and we must also be humble.

What do you think?
