There is a website that helps teachers raise money for projects or technology. One of the main fundraisers that is going on right now is an effort to raise money to buy for Chromebooks for the classroom. besides this being an awesome cause, what I was blown away by is the price they are getting Chromebooks for. The is website is able to get Chromebooks at a discounted price of $99. That is an amazing price. It is actually less than most textbooks cost school to purchase. Let that sink in a bit. It is now cheaper to buy a computer that it is to buy a textbook. The implications are staggering. Could this be an inflection point for Education? How interesting it is that Chromebooks are leading the way.
