Being creative requires that we use more and more of our brains capabilities. One way to use our brains fully is to seek to be more creative and actually create more stuff. Another way is to do things during our normal day that will force us to use our brain more fully. One way is make sure we read, write, and use our brains productively every day. Make time to read, start a journal, and find puzzles and other brain expanding activities to do everyday. Another way is to expand how we use our brain. We do this through learning and experiencing new things. Make an effort to learn something new as often as possible. Take a different route to work everyday. Watch a new TV show or movie. Talk to someone new. Go to a different restaurant than the usual one. Another good thing to try is to use your weak hand more often. Open doors with your weak hand. Use a mouse or track pad with your weak hand. How about trying to write or draw with your weak hand? The point is, don't stay in a rut. Change things up on purpose and use your brain fully everyday. Not only is it good for your brain, it is also good for your creativity.
