Chromebook - Is Chromebook Right For You?

Are you thinking about getting a Chromebook? Here are some things to keep in mind. First, Chromebook is not a regular laptop. It will not run everything. It will only run web based applications, which there are many. Second, though it does function offline, it is only online that you can use it's full functionality. Chromebooks are designed with the internet as part of the system. It's the first fully cloud based system. Finally, Chromebooks are great for all the basic stuff you would do on a laptop. Chromebooks are awesome for email, surfing the internet, basic word processing, basic spreadsheets, basic presentations, simple photo editing, and other light computing tasks.

I would say that the Chromebook is best thought of as a light laptop, heavy tablet. If you want the light use of a tablet but want to have a keyboard and mouse available at all times, the Chromebooks are the way to go. Since I do a lot of writing, my Chromebook has become indispensable. In fact, I use it more than any other device I own.

What do you think?
