Litigation has become a part of business life. If you are a business of just about any size today, be prepared to sue or be sued. Unfortunately it is just part of the cost of doing business today. It will also be a major part of doing business in the digital age. Just look at the new titans of the digital age Apple and the proxy for Google, Samsung. I think that one of the reasons litigation will be part of business life in the digital age is that it's so easy to steal an idea from a competitor. When keeping trade secrets is nearly impossible (especially with reverse engineering and trade gossip websites), litigation becomes part of your business plan. Unfortunately it is the consumer who will pay for it all as the cost is passed down.
