So what should we be doing to help people (and especially those in school) obtain the skills they will need to be successful in the digital age? Now that will require a lot of thinking (and maybe a book). But, here are some ideas about what we don't do that we should be doing:
* Teach people to think
* Teach people to communicate
* Teach people to create and be creative
* Teach people to be self directed and self responsible
* Teach people to function on the internet and the "cloud"
* Teach people to learn
By the way, this does not have to happen in classroom. It probably would be better if it did not.
