The economy

Staples has announced that it is going to close 250 stores this year. That's over 10% of it's stores and a lot of people are going to lose their jobs as a result. What is their reason? Slower sales in physical stores and increased revenue from their online endeavors. So this is another victim of the transition from the manufacturing/industrial economy to the information/digital economy. Fortunately for Staples they have an online presence, or they would be going the way of Radio Shack.

What do you think?
