News - Daily Summary

Tensions are still high as separatists and government forces skirmish. It looks as if Ukraine is in a small scale civil war with casualties being taken by both sides. This is not a major civil war in that it does not seem as the whole country is taking arms and sides. What I do find interesting is that there has been no major action by Russia. If Russia is going to act, would it not be sooner rather than later? Or is Russia content with letting things move along on their own and move in once the combatants have weakened each other so there will be no significant opposition? Or are the sanctions having an effect? Maybe we will have some answers as the week moves on.

Across the rest of the world and the U.S. there were no major developments today other than the usual murder, mayhem, corruption, and trivialities of everyday modern life.

It was another day in the calm before the storm.

What do you think?
