In Ukraine things are calm as the scheduled vote begins. Lets see what the outcome will be. In Thailand the military continues to be in control as it takes over the government. China and Japan have fighters fly by each other in the area in dispute in the East Sea. Japan's defense forces simulate taking military action against invaders of the disputed islands in the east sea. Tensions between China and Vietnam and the Philippines are still high. Meanwhile the Pope lands in Jordan on his visit to the region.
In the U.S. murder and mayhem hit near the campus of U.C. Santa Barbara as 7 people were killed and several injured when a student from the local community college went on a killing rampage. Unfortunately this is what modern America is becoming. Crazy people killing in a rage. Other than that, there were no other major developments other than the usual murders, mayhem, corruption, and tragedies.
It was another day in the calm before the storm.
