Observations - GPA

Is your high school grade point average (GPA) a good indicator of how much money you will make later in life? There is research that claims that the higher your GPA in high school, the more money you make later in life. While I don't think GPA is an indicator of how successful you might be (how many C students have made it big?), and I don't think your grades are that big of a deal in life, I think there is some merit to this research. Your GPA is a reflection of your work habits. So clearly a person with a better GPA is going to make more money just because they have better work habits. Though GPA is not the end all be all, I do think it is a good indicator of a persons ability to do the work. If you were looking to hire someone, would you hire a C-D student or and A-B student?

What do you think?
