Everyday I read of schools and districts buying Chromebooks for their students. I think this is a great choice. Chromebooks are inexpensive (so they will not bankrupt the district), they are not gaming machines (so they will not be hacked or stolen), and they provide great access to the internet (which is the primary reason for giving students a computer). Are Chromebooks perfect? No, but they are good enough and that is what schools need. I think any other device will just cause more problems than they are worth.
