News - Daily Summary

Tensions are still high in Ukraine as government forces clashed with separatists in eastern Ukraine. Ukraine is also drafting conscripts to beef up the military. Some think this is in response to so many defections among the rank and file. No major developments in Venezuela, Syria, the middle east, and North Korea (the usual suspects).

In the U.S. stocks were mixed in anticipation of the labor report tomorrow. The DOW and S&P 500 were down a bit, and the NASDAQ was up. Oil, gold, and silver were flat. The fire in southern California was over 50% contained. Besides the usual murder, mayhem, and corruption, there were no major developments.

Another day in the calm before the storm.

What do you think?
