Being able to create is going to be a key skill in the digital age. There will not be much of a need in the digital age for people who follow orders or just show up. Machines will do those jobs. What will be in high demand will be for the ability to solve problems and come up with news ways to do things. How can we help future generations develop creativity? We need to include more art, music, and drama into our school system. We need to include them at a younger age. We also need to find a way to include creative aspects into all subjects. Unfortunately, creativity does not go well with standardization. One size fits all is not conducive to creativity. Maybe the internet will change all that? Maybe education will become more individualized and not so standardized? Then creativity might flourish.
