I have written in the past about being squeezed. mybuget360.com has a good article on the subject as well. One of the big culprits is inflation, another is stagnant wages, and then there is the fact that our economy is not producing good paying jobs. In fact, of the 130 million jobs (and for a population of over 300 million, this is way to low) in America, 81 million pay $20 or less! What is missing from this picture is the fact that local, state, and federal taxes and fees have kept going up. Every week the middle class has less and less money to spend, save, and invest. No wonder the middle class is hurting. We need real tax relief. We need inflation relief. We need better paying jobs. So what we really need is a miracle!
