Writing - Just Start

What is the hardest part of writing? Getting started. It's that moment when you stare at the blank page and your mind goes blank. How do you get past it? Start writing. Just start putting something - anything - on the page. For some reason when your mind starts to see words appear on the page (or screen) it starts producing more words to put on the screen. I started writing over 20 years ago by keeping a journal. The result is that I have written thousands (and possibly millions of words since then) all because I got started. So pull out some paper (or fire up a document page) and just start. Then keep putting words on the page.

What do you think?

Note: This also works for just about any creative endeavor as well. Just get started and things start to happen.
