Captain America is on a roll. It looks to be the #1 movie not only at the box office this weekend, but the #1 movie of the year in short order. It is the #6 movie so far this year and #3 world wide. Not bad for being out about 3 days. So what makes superhero movies so popular? Maybe it's the effects? Maybe it's the big budget and star power involved? Or maybe it's that people love to see good triumph over evil (or at least attempt to)? No matter what the cause of success, superhero's are here to stay, and I for one will not mind. I truly enjoy this genre and will continue to look forward to all the movies that will be coming out in the future.
