News - Daily Summary

In Ukraine, protesters took to the streets in several eastern cities. Armed men also forcibly occupied several governmental buildings. What will Ukraine do in response? What will Russia do in response? In Syria, a rural village was attacked with poison gas. Both sides accused each other of the attack. The rest of the middle east was quiet. No news from Venezuela. Chile is dealing with a major wildfire that has destroyed 500 homes and killed at least 2 people. All this on the heels of the massive quake they experienced a few weeks ago. The Solomon Islands experienced a 7.8 magnitude earthquake today. There are no reports of damage, deaths, or tsunamis. Finally, the search continues for the missing Malaysian airliner, but there are no new developments.

It was a quiet day in the U.S. Investors are digesting the sell off in stocks last week. Lets see if the sell off continues on Monday.

So, it was another day in the calm before the storm.
