News and Events - Summary

Things in Ukraine are getting interesting (which I wrote about earlier today). In Venezuela it looks as if the opposition and the government are going to meet for talks mediated by the Vatican. Hopefully a peaceful solution emerges. In Syria, government forces have slowly retaken many of the places held by rebels forces. Government forces started shelling the Rankus today, one of the last major areas held by rebels, in what looks like the beginning of a major assault. Unfortunately the Syrian opposition is slowly being defeated. Things seemed quiet in the rest of the world

In the U.S. it was a quiet day. The only big news was that the bleeding stopped on Wall St. Stocks were up a bit. Gold, silver, and oil were all up today. Oil being higher is not such good news (have you noticed prices at the gas pump lately?).

It was another day in the calm before the storm

What do you think?

Note: I believe a major economic storm is coming our way that will usher in a prolonged period of global instability which will probably result in a major war. When? I don't know, but it will happen (and it sure feels like it will be sooner rather than later).
