News And Events - Summary

Things are becoming interesting again in Ukraine as protests and government building takeovers start up again (is this the reason Russia still has troops on the border?). In Venezuela, two friends of the jailed opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez were found dead in a Caracas park (never underestimate the governments ability to kill even if it does it through a third party). The U.S. supposedly has started supplying anti tank weapons to Syrian rebels (is that not a little late?). There might be a lead on the missing Malaysian airliner as some "pings: were detected in the Indian ocean. No other major developments happened across the globe today.

Things were relatively quiet in the U.S. even though stocks extended their losses. Not only were stocks down, but so were gold, silver, and oil a bit (maybe everyone wants to join the selling party?). The death toll in the mudslide in the State of Washington has grown to 33 with more sure to come as the clean up continues. No other major developments for the day. Things seem a bit more interesting though.

But, it was another day in the calm before the storm.

What do you think?
