You can watch Walmart and get an idea of how things are going, especially for "main street" America. So how is Walmart doing? Walmart is making money, but earnings are a bit lower, and same store sales in the U.S. were down 0.4%. That's not much of an indicator to go on, but Walmart is a company to keep an eye on.
