You can't have a prosperous society if you take from those who produce and give it to those who don't. If you reward unproductive behavior, it grows, and you discourage productive behavior. The way to fix this is to reward productive behavior and discourage unproductive behavior. It's simple, but not easy. Why? Because you have to let people suffer the consequences of their choices. You have to be mean and tough which is not a pleasurable experience.
