Finally some rain in California. Unfortunately it's a lot of rain all at once. Since it has been dry for so long, a good portion of the water will run off. But, California is finally getting some relief. Hopefully this is the start of the end of the drought. The intensity of the storm has caused some minor damage and plenty of car accidents (since it does not rain all that much, no one knows how to drive in inclement weather). I for one am glad we have gotten some rain. It will save me money on my water bill (and because it does not rain all that much, many of my neighbors have left their sprinklers on) and my lawn will be nice green for many weeks to come.
