Here in California we are in the worst drought in many years. I started to notice the effects recently. We drove through a part of town that usually has very green and manicured lawns. I noticed that most of the lawns were not just less green, they were gone. Property after property had done away with the lawn and just left dirt. They had not even replaced the grass with something else. Not even with rocks or some other ground covering. I am starting to think that things are going to get much worse as summer approaches and we do not have the water we need. It is going to be a long summer.
