Demographics

I was reading tonight that about 10,000 baby boomers retire every day and that they will continue to retire at that pace for another 15-16 years. We have about 40 million senior citizens today. By 2050 that number will balloon to over 89 million. How are we going to pay for the retirement of all those people? I don't think we will be able to. The implication is that there will probably not be any money for retirement once we get there. I guess we all will just have to keep working. Now that sucks.

What do you think?
