I just read that Microsoft is lowering the price of Windows 8 hoping that manufacturers will build laptops for less that $300. I wonder why? Oh yeah, it's because of Chromebook. Chromebook must be taking a big enough bite out of Microsoft sales to push the price of Windows 8 down. That's why Microsoft is lowering the price of Windows and also running negative ads against Chromebook. To bad it's too late. If Microsoft had done this much earlier I would be typing on a cheap Windows machine and not a Chromebook. I think Chromebook is here to stay and Microsoft is going to keep diminishing in stature and profit. I even think that Microsoft is going to go the way of IBM.
