News - Daily Summary

In Ukraine preparations are being made for a national election on May 25 and so far things are calmer. There are talks of U.S. sanctions against Venezuela, which just signed a deal to provide diesel fuel to the Palestinians. North Korea apologized for the collapse of a 23 story apartment building in which there are many people missing. South Korea is talking about disbanding their Coast Guard as a consequence of the ferry disaster. China evacuated thousands of Chinese nationals from Vietnam as a result of protests over the oil rig China moved into Vietnamese waters. Japan is considering moving troops to a disputed island with China. The Philippines is disputing a set of atolls with China as well.

In the U.S. there were no new developments other than the usual murders, mayhem, corruption, trivialities, and tragedies.

It was another day in the calm before the storm.

What do you think?
