According to a story in the New York Times Chromebooks account for up to 25% of all low-cost laptops sold in the United States. They have also are #2 in overall laptop sales overtaking Apple's Macbook in the process. Google is also reporting that nearly 10,000 schools are using Chromebooks. These are great numbers considering many people think Chromebooks are just toys! I think Google is on to something. People want a low cost system that lets them do basic computing safely and inexpensively. Chromebooks fit the bill perfectly. Are they the best system on the market? No (there is no best system), but they get the job done.
