There was a new round of violence in Ukraine. Separatists attacked a checkpoint killing 13 soldiers and three others. Tensions seem to be increasing once again as the election nears on the 25th. In Thailand the military imposed martial law has become a coup as the military takes over running the country. So much for all the denials over the last couple of days. No one seems to be telling the truth these days. No major developments out of Venezuela. Russia and China block a U.N security council vote to refer Syria to the International Court. The rest of the Middle East seems calm as Pope Frances visits the area. North and South Korean naval vessels trade warning shots. Tensions are still high between China and Vietnam, Japan, and the Philippines.
In the U.S. stocks were higher, oil and gold were flat, and there were no major developments today other than the usual corruption, tragedies, mayhem, trivialities, and murders.
It was another day in the calm before the storm.
What do you think?
