Another school district has come to the conclusion that Chromebooks are great for education. The Merced school district in California is purchasing 4500 Chromebooks to use in all their 3rd-8th grade classes. Ultimately the district will purchase a total of 7700 Chromebooks in order to have one for each student. Chromebooks were used in a pilot program first, and then adopted this past month for the whole district. The district noted that since the state of California is now doing all it's testing online, having computers will prepare students to be more successful. I think they made a great choice and expect many more districts to follow suit.
